Amélie O’Kelly Program Participant

I was delighted to learn that the overused term of support is not employed by the Daniel Ferro Vocal Program! Instead there is a focus on the goal of a roundness of sound that was an agreeable, accessible and achievable philosophy.
The individually tailored approach to the participant made it all the more beneficial.
A sense of joy among the team about what they do often made the hard work easier.
I would include the beautiful setting, the wonderful breakfasts and lunches we received, and the charming hotel we stayed in all added to our enjoyment.
The whole experience was hugely stimulating and worthwhile. My voice and I developed and will, I believe, continue on that positive journey.

David Morgans Program Participant

From the moment I arrived in the beautiful Tuscan countryside of Greve in Chianti, I felt embraced by a sense of warmth and dedication. Florence Katz, our artistic director, was not only a gentle and nurturing presence but also incredibly precise and insightful. Her transparency and encouragement allowed me to discover a freedom in my singing that I had never known before.

Maria Silvana Pavan, with her masterful technical guidance, refined my voice and helped me achieve a new level of balance and expressivity. Agnès Watson brought everything together for me, ensuring that I stayed true to the composers’ intentions while also expressing my own personal truth of the music.

Mark Watson, who was instrumental in my participation in the program, offered incredible classes on breath support, acting, and body engagement. His teachings were world-class and introduced me to techniques I’d never encountered before. Daland Cranston Jones provided organized, thoughtful leadership and shared invaluable guidance on vocal health that has already transformed the way I care for my instrument.

In addition to the core faculty, the program also featured virtual master classes with world renowned master voice teachers. These sessions expanded our access to real world resources, knowledge, and perspectives in ways that were simply invaluable

What made this program exceptional was not just the training, but the cultural immersion and the personal attention we received. Being in Italy, exploring cities like Florence and Arezzo, and living the Italian lifestyle added a whole new dimension to our growth. Each performance opportunity was a milestone, and the professional photos and videos we received have been invaluable for documenting and promoting our artistry.

In conclusion, this was by far the most caring, tailored, and enriching program I have ever attended. I felt Daniel’s legacy of love and dedication in every moment, and I am deeply grateful for this opportunity.

Thank you for continuing this beautiful tribute to his life and work. It has been an honor to be part of it.
