Florence Katz,  mezzo-soprano, was born in Paris, France, and studied Singing and Drama with Régine Crespin and Gabriel Bacquier at the “Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris”.  In addition, She has been an active participant in Master Classes with Maestro Daniel Ferro, Lorraine Nubar, Ileana Cotrubas, René Jacobs.  Ms. Katz has been a recipient of numerous prizes in vocal competitions throughout her career as singer and teacher.  

She has performed in both opera and concerts throughout Europe and in New York. Her Discography includes Recitals of mélodies with piano and instruments accompaniment. She sings with great success a wide range of repertoire from Baroque to Contemporary.

In addition to her performances, Ms. Katz teaches in Paris, at the Conservatoire de Bourg-la-Reine, France, and conducts Master Classes in France, Italy, Germany, China and United States. She is the Artistic Director of the Arts Association “La voix humaine”. Ms. Katz has been teaching at the Daniel Ferro Vocal Program in Greve in Chianti, Italy since 2014 and was appointed Artistic Director of the program in 2019.
