About

American soprano Ariana Maloney is establishing a reputation as one of today’s rising sopranos to follow. She is regularly acclaimed for her richness of timbre, vocal agility, and captivating stage presence. Ms. Maloney is a graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where she received her Master of Music and a graduate of The University of Houston’s Moores School of Music where she received her Bachelor of Music. She has performed a wide range of roles including the title role in Massanet’s Manon, Gilda in Rigoletto, Giulietta in Les Contes d’Hoffmann, Musetta in La Boheme and Violetta in La Traviata. Ms. Maloney is the recipient of several awards including the first ever awarded Action for Artist’s Scholarship,  First Place Winner of the Heirs of Orpheus International Music Competition, the Tony Cuevas Award of the Holt Memorial Scholarship Competition, winner of the Hirsch Scholarship Foundation, winner of the Kenneth Turvey Music Scholarship, Orpheus Vocal Competition Semi-Finalist, and First Place Winner of the National Association of Teachers for Singing. Ms. Maloney’s upcoming engagements include the role of Violetta in Verdi’s La Traviata, Guest Artist with Opera South, as well as a public recital series showcasing works from Rossini, Donizetti, Verdi, Bizet, Debussy, Meyerbeer and Puccini.
