Andrea Ricceri

Provenance

Ricceri was born in Fiesole in 1953 and lived most of his life in Florence. His artistic education took shape during the 1980s as he frequented the galleries and artists who shared the vibrant neighborhood of Santa Croce.

The artist created more than 800 plates using the etching technique. He was also a highly accomplished watercolorist, specializing in the depiction of interiors and architecture.

Ricceri collaborated with artisan workshops and art bookstores, such as Signum in Florence. As a watercolorist, he undertook commissions for establishments such as Aqua Flor Firenze, the Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella, and various interior design boutiques. He also maintained a long-standing collaboration with the Vittoria Pozzi Calcographic Print Workshop in Florence.

In 1995, the very first year of the Daniel Ferro Vocal Program, Ricceri’s work was exhibited in the room where daily Master Classes were held.
