Wine and the White House: A History and Thomas Jefferson’s Connection with Tuscany. We are excited to share this beautifully illustrated book, which is informative and entertaining and a “must” for lovers of wine, history or both! There is a fascinating connection to our beloved Tuscany!
In 1773, Phillip Mazzei formed a friendship with Thomas Jefferson and advised Jefferson on cultivating vineyards in Virginia. With this fabulous book, we are offering a bottle of Philip 2015, Cabernet Sauvignon, from Castello di Fonterutoli, owned by the Mazzei family and a short distance from Panzano and Greve. The Ferros have visited the vineyard on many occasions and enjoyed their superb wines.
Greve and Panzano are in the very heart of the Chianti region with an outstanding selection of fine wines. As we begin our Taste of Tuscany, we are featuring some of our favorites.
Castello di Verrezzano has been the site of our Opening Concert and Reception for many years.
Lamole di Lamole which is featured in “Greve 2020 – Virtually Yours”
has always been a Ferro Favorite.
Il Molino di Grace wine has been served at many of our San Leolino Concert Receptions.
